0 Top 5 scorers in Premier League, La Liga, Serie A, Bundesliga and League one in race for Golden boots.

Top scorers in European leagues are in tough competition as more goals are scored from every league, but Spain seems to have more goals. Lionel Messi leads all European goal scorers with 19 (38 Golden Shoe Points)  La Liga goals followed by two player from small leagues in Europe, Philipp Hosiner  (Austria Wien) 17 goals and Henrik Mkhitaryan (Shakhtar Donetsk) 17 goals and 25.5 Golden Shoe Points each. Currently only 4 top scorers from top five European leagues are in top 10 list for European top scorers with other players coming from underdogs league of the 4 only Zlatan Ibrahimovic is not playing in Spain.

Lionel Messi Celebrate a goal
Fans used to see close race between Messi and Ronaldo but the gap is already big, 7 goals, but in Champions league competition they are still tied on 5 goals each.

Premier League top scorers are very much tied at the top but the situation could suddenly change in top 5 scorers. So far there are a one goal gaps and the table will change a lot with just few matches. Former Top scorer, Robin Van Persie is still favorite to win golden boot considering is form and the chance he got at Manchester United. Can Benitez effect help Torres jump in top five? One would expect this to be the case, but time will tell.
